Disney Consumer Products Takes Fans on Journey From Sketch to Shelf at D23 Expo

The theme for this year at the Disney Consumer Products at D23 Expo was “The Journey From Sketch to Shelf.”  The entire area was a mixture of giant sketches of Marvel, Disney, Muppet and even Star Wars characters showing the process from sketch to actual toys and books.

Once you entered the show floor you were overwhelmed with Disney Geek culture!  To separate the areas Disney Consumer Products used walls created from giant sketches of some of our favorite characters. (We’ve included descriptions of the areas from Disney Consumer Products)

From Disney Consumer Products

Disney Consumer Products (DCP) gave Disney’s most loyal fans an up close look at an extensive collection of interactive experiences and merchandise that celebrate Disney, Marvel, Muppets, and Star Wars timeless characters. Disney fans had the chance to follow their favorite products from “sketch to shelf” and learn how Disney Consumer Products extends storytelling from character and content extension to product development through featured discussions, art and sculptures, and final product displays.

While at the D23 Expo, fans immersed themselves in exhibits, hands-on demonstrations, special signing opportunities, and exclusive product offerings at the Disney Consumer Products Pavilion.

It was truly amazing and there was just too much to see.  Thanks to D23 and Disney for an incredible event and a glimpse behind the scenes of how Disney Consumer Products were created!
