Disney’s Live-Action Beauty And The Beast Will Make A Major Change To The Animated Film
Among Disney’s slate of live-action remakes of their classic animated movies is Beauty and the Beast. Unlike Maleficent and Cinderella before it, the film will follow in the footsteps of its animated counterpart by being a musical. However, as with any adaptation, there are bound to be changes from the “original” story, and in this case, moviegoers should expect to hear some extra songs added to the lineup of music.
During his “Artist to Artist” production at Lincoln Center earlier this week, witnessed by Stitch Kingdom, Disney composer Alan Menken, who also scored the 1991 movie, revealed that he and his writing partner Tim Rice have created three new songs for the live-action movie.
