Disney’s Planes Cast Brings a Top Gun Reunion

Walt Disney Animation revealed the complete voice cast of their upcoming animated feature Planes and among the names you get a Top Gun reunion as Val Kilmer and Anthony Edwards will voice fighter jets Bravo and Echo.

Dane Cook will voice Dusty in Planes

Of course, we already knew Dane Cook was voicing the film’s lead character, Dusty, a prop plane with high aspirations who turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps him qualify to take on the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty’s courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar.

The Disney film ‘Planes’ aims to do to the air bound world what Pixar’s ‘Cars’ did for automobiles. It is due to set flight Aug. 9 with a squadron full of quirky characters, so USA TODAY reveals the cast. It includes a ‘Top Gun’ reunion of Anthony Edwards and Val Kilmer, who both voice F-18 jets. “When you see them flying, they are going to take your breath away,” says director Klay Hall.
