Epcot,  International Festival of the Arts

New Epcot Festival Includes Select Membership Extras

The visual, culinary and performance arts come together in distinctively Disney fashion during the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, and Disney Vacation Club Members and special guests are making artful use of “Membership Extras” while enjoying a day at Epcot.

The first-of-its kind festival, which kicked off on Jan. 13, fills the Park with colorful gallery exhibits and photo ops, food studios designed to please both palates and palettes (as someone who often confuses those words, I love a post that lets me use both) and plenty of live entertainment.

For many guests, the festival is an opportunity to not just appreciate the arts but participate, as interactive workshops invite festival goers to try their hand at everything from drawing and watercolor painting to calligraphy and floral arranging. Disney Vacation Club Members enjoy a 15 percent discount off each workshop’s regular price of $39 plus tax. Members may call Member Services to learn more about available workshops and to make discounted reservations.

Members purchasing commemorative festival merchandise at the park, meanwhile, are doing so while taking advantage of their recently enhanced merchandise discount at select Disney-owned-and-operated Walt Disney World merchandise shops (previously a 10 percent discount, now doubled to 20 percent).
