Review of the Father’s Day Beers and Barbecue At The Four Seasons Orlando
We’re always looking for a chance to hang out at Walt Disney World Resort with friends and when we learned that the Four Seasons Resort Orlando was hosting a Father’s Day Beers and BBQ event, we knew we had to go!
Parkhopper Sid and I were joined Tony Caselnova from Disney by the Numbers and the Disney Parks Podcast, Tony’s daughter, and 2 other great friends, Diane and Brian. We had an incredible time. Agustin Sosa the Four Seasons’ Banquet Director, Stephen Wancha the Director of Food and Beverage, and their teams put on an incredible event celebrating Father’s Day. It was filled with music, games. and lots of incredible food.
The Setting
The event took place in the Palm Ballroom and spilled outdoors on to the Lady Palm Lawn at the Four Seasons. They had stations set up for ladderball, giant Jenga blocks, and cornhole as well as a few inflatables for baseball, basketball, and football toss. They even had a DJ spinning hits for adults and kids.
The resort also set up tents with all the Heineken beer the fathers wanted to enjoy as well as a Bloody Mary Bar complete with all the fixings. It was incredibly hot out and the resort wisely set up several water stations around for all the guests to stay well hydrated! (Nice Touch!!)
Inside was where the majority of the food stations were located as well as the main seating area complete with giant screens projecting ESPN SportsCenter and golf. The tables were decorated with simple wooden boxes from the resort’s PB&G restaurant and they even brought in a bit of outside with the grass decorations.
The Food
There were burgers and hot dogs being grilled to order outside, but inside were the true stars of the day. The Four Seasons offered some amazing barbecued ribs, grilled chicken breast. and three types of chicken wings for guests to enjoy. Along with these were an assortment of sides such as mac and cheese, potato salad, macaroni salad, and some of the best barbecued beans I had ever had. Plus there were cheddar biscuits and a kid’s station as well.
They also provided toppings for the burgers as well and additional sides like watermelon and arugula salad. (One of my favorites)
The Desserts
With such amazing food, you knew the desserts would not disappoint. There were trays filled with miniature key lime pies, apple crumb pies, and Jack Daniels pecan pie. The Four Season’s Lickety Split Lounge provided an ice cream cart with several flavors of ice cream to choose from.
The Father’s Day Beers and BBQ event at the Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort was terrific and we look forward to going again next year, and seeing what they may do for Mother’s Day. The Four Seasons Orlando offer world-class accommodations and service and with some of the best dining on Disney property, you need to do yourself a favor and visit this resort on your next Disney vacation!
We definitely want to thank Agustin Sosa, Stephen Wancha, and the entire resort staff for an enjoyable day at the Four Seasons Orlando!
