Saturday Morning Cartoons

Saturday Morning Cartoons – Hawaiian Holiday (1937)

WDW Parkhoppers John and Sid will be traveling to the East Coast of Florida and visiting some friends, so we thought that we would take the opportunity to share one of our favorite cartoons with you. We love Hawaii and especially the Polynesian Resort, so when you couple that with Mickey and Minnie Mouse…how could you fail?

Originally Released on September 24, 1937, Hawaiian Holiday stars Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and Lobster.  Released by Walt Disney Studios and distributed by RKO Radio Pictures, Inc., it was directed by Ben Sharpsteen.  Produced by John Sutherland and Walt Disney it features the animation of  Wolfgang Reitherman, Al Eugster, Shamus Culhane, Nick George, and Frenchy de Tremaudan.

It’s one of my favorites as well. Of course anything that has to do with Mickey Mouse, Disney, and Hawaii…you know I am there!

wow, i remember waking up on saturday mornings, eating my cereal and watching these classics disney cartoons. I miss those ones, even though disney still makes cartoons, there was something special the way they did it back then, I wish they could make them like that for my kids, but with new graphics and animation.
