The bubbling warm spring that begins inside the resort runs down the hillside and empties into one of the most unique pools at Walt Disney World. This pool has a spectacular view of Fire Rock Geyser, Wilderness Lodge’s own version of ‘Old Faithful’, where you can relax and look out at gorgeous Bay Lake. But after a long afternoon of sun tanning and swimming, you might need a cold, refreshing drink. And one of our favorite ‘watering holes’ just happens to be next on our list of Out of the Way Places…

Out of the Way Places at Walt Disney World: The Outer Rim
Located on the fourth floor Grand Canyon Concourse near Chef Mickey’s and the Contempo Cafe, the Outer Rim is a great place to grab a cocktail at the Contemporary Resort! It’s quiet and a little out of the way, which makes it a perfect place to relax after a long day in the parks. You can grab a beer, mixed drink, and some “light” snacks, but the best part of the Outer Rim is the amazing view of Bay Lake out the windows of the resort. The next time you are looking for a great “watering hole” in the Contemporary Resort, don’t forget the Outer Rim!
