Lost Walt Disney Film From 1927 Featuring Oswald The Lucky Rabbit Found In Norway
A long-lost film by Walt Disney was recently found in a very unlikely place: a library in Norway near the Arctic Circle. The 1927 film is called “Empty Socks” and features Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, a character created by Disney and Ub Iwerks before Mickey Mouse. It’s also the first Christmas film ever made by the company, and was found in the National Library of Norway in Mo i Rana. The library had been digitizing films and documents from its collection when it came upon the reels. “At the beginning, we didn’t know it was a lost cinematographic treasure,” Kvale Soerenssen, an archivist at the library, said in a statement…

Oswald The Lucky Rabbit To Debut At Disney California Adventure
Fan favorite, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, one of Walt Disney’s earliest cartoon stars, has had a presence at Disney California Adventure park for the past couple of years, from those delightful rabbit ear hats to the Oswald ice cream sundaes at Clarabelle’s. Now, Oswald himself is set to come home to Disneyland Resort! Oswald has been making appearances at Tokyo DisneySea for quite some time. Later this month however, we will finally be able to meet Oswald on Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure park.
