Disney World, Lockheed, EA Line Up For Tech Show Otronicon
Central Florida business heavyweights Disney, Electronic Arts and Lockheed Martin will return to the Orlando Science Center for the 10th annual Otronicon gaming and technology expo on Jan. 16 – 19.
Otronicon is a showcase for Orlando’s robust gaming and simulation tech cluster, and the largest regular event at the Science Center. It spans four days and usually draws about 12,000 people. Florida Hospital for Children and University of Central Florida will also participate.
Among the cool features of the event:
–Exclusive chances to test out high-tech simulations for military, medical, sports and entertainment industries. EA will demonstrate video game development; Disney World will show simulations used in designing rides; Lockheed will exhibit six flight simulators and Florida Hospital for Children will show the latest technology for its robotic-assisted surgery system.
–Information on career opportunities with local gaming or simulation companies, with a focus on technology that is “Made in Orlando, played in Orlando.”
