Disney Junior Launches MUPPET MOMENTS New Series For Children
Despite tepid response to the most recent MUPPET film, Disney is not giving up on the once white-hot band of misfits created by Jim Henson. The latest endeavor to keep the characters relevant is by introducing them to younger audiences via Disney Junior. Aimed at children ages 2-7 the new MUPPET MOMENTS show will teach important topics like apologies and manners. The series is set to first on Disney Channel with four shorts on Friday, April 3rd and a new short airing daily through Friday, May 8. It will also be available on Disney Junior. Disney Junior Saddles Up For A Second Season Of “Sheriff Callie’s Wild West”
Disney Junior has ordered a second season of “Sheriff Callie’s Wild West,” starring Mandy Moore (Disney’s “Tangled”) as the voice of Sheriff Callie. The action-packed Western series follows Callie, a Calico cat sheriff who keeps the peace in her frontier town of Nice and Friendly Corners by ensuring that everyone abides by the rules of good morals, manners and social ethics. The announcement was made today by Nancy Kanter, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and General Manager, Disney Junior Worldwide.

Jake And The Neverland Pirates Have A Special Coming To Disney Channel And Disney Junior October 26th
Jake and his crew of kid pirates take flight over London in Disney Junior’s “Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Battle for the Book!” a primetime special premiering SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26 (6:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. Beloved Disney heritage characters Wendy, John and Michael Darling make their series debut in the music-filled special, with Maia Mitchell (Disney Channel’s “Teen Beach Movie” and ABC Family’s “The Fosters”) voicing the role of Wendy and performing new original song “Once Upon A Time.” Peter Pan and Tinker Bell will also appear. Disney Junior’s “Sofia the First,” the all-time record holder for the top two cable TV telecasts for kids 2-5, received six nominations for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
