25 Days of Disney Christmas Day 14 – Walt Disney and Toys for Tots
In 1948, the Toys For Tots was launched as a national campaign. Campaign director William Hendricks, who was the PR Director for Warner Brothers Studio at the time, enlisted Disney Studios to design the familiar red toy train logo seen here. This holiday season, please donate toys or funds to the campaign to bring toys to needy children. You can find Toys For Tots on the web at http://www.toysfortots.org/.

25 Days of Disney Christmas Day 12 – Downtown Disney Marketplace Decorations!
No Walt Disney World trip would be compete without a visit to Downtown Disney. With it’s West Side, Pleasure Island??, and Marketplace areas, it’s perfect for dining, shopping, and spending some quality time outside of Disney parks. When Parkhopper Sid and I didn’t have passes one winter, we visited Downtown Disney just to get a little pixie dust on us to get us through until we could afford to get our passes back! It’s truly magical. But at Christmas…it’s even better! From Santa’s Chalet to all the window dressings on the shops, Christmas brings out the BEST in the Marketplace!

25 Days of Disney Christmas Day 11 – Vintage Country Bear Christmas Special
Most bears hibernate for the winter, but the Country Bears of Frontierland fame in Magic Kingdom Park used to like to celebrate the holidays before heading for their long winter naps. County Bear Christmas Special premiered in December 1984 with the bears singing such holiday classics as “Deck the Halls,” “Let It Snow,” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” as well as new original songs like “Hungry as a Bear.” What’s Your Favorite Memory of the Country Bear Christmas Special?
