Marvel Announces ‘Avengers: No More Bullying’ Comic, Bullies Get Vibranium Shields Upside The Head
It was only last month that Marvel revealed a set of anti-bullying variant covers designed to get kids to stop being complete jerks to each other, but apparently, it seems that an image of Gamorra offering to space-murder a group of mean children wasn’t enough to solve all the problems. As a result, Marvel has taken the next logical step: A full-length anti-bullying comic featuring the Avengers, Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy, all teaming up to try to put an end to bullying once and for all. New Disney Kingdoms Series To Feature Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, will be the focus of a new Disney Kingdoms series and today we’re thrilled to share a first look at the spectacular cover artwork and details behind the adventure set in the wild Frontier. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a five-part comic series driven by Walt Disney Imagineering storytelling that’ll include earthquakes, floods and, of course, dynamite-chewing goats. ‘Superior Iron Man’: Marvel Reinventing Tony Stark
Marvel has spent the week stunning fans with major character transformations, and now comes news that Tony Stark will be re-imagined as well, in the upcoming series Superior Iron Man. Mashable reports that Tony Stark will be relocating to San Francisco for Superior Iron Man, as the genius inventor spreads an app based on his Extremis technology, which played a major role in Iron Man 3. The storyline will examine the dark side of Iron Man, calling Stark’s character into question as he offers San Francisco residents “beauty, perfection, and possibly immortality” with his Extremis tech. Marvel Announces New Captain America on ‘The Colbert Report’
Sam Wilson, formerly the Falcon, will take on the cowl and shield in a new series launching in November, CCO Joe Quesada tells Stephen Colbert. A day after it was revealed that Marvel Entertainment would be replacing the comic book incarnation of Thor with a new, female version, the publisher followed through on an earlier tease by announcing that Sam Wilson, formerly the superhero known as the Falcon, would be taking over the role of Captain America this October. The announcement, long-rumored in comic book fandom, was made by Marvel CCO Joe Quesada on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report on Wednesday night. Read more here
