There is perhaps no Disney fan who has a love of Disney History, classic attractions, animated feature films and the iconic Mickey Mouse shorts then myself. Don’t misunderstand, I still love the new offerings, Pandora’s “Flight of Passage”, “Soarin’ around the World”, “Smuggler’s Run” and cannot wait for the “Tron Light Cycle Run” and” Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind”. But despite all the modern electronics, computer controlled and enhanced attractions and films, a ride on a more “simple”attraction where you have to use your imagination more to experience the gist of the ride is how Walt, perhaps the world’s greatest storyteller was trying to convey in the days…

Then and Now: Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride
Horizons, Dreamfinder, Fantasyland Skyway, Kitchen Kaberet, If You Had Wings… what do these attractions all have in common? They are classic Walt Disney World attractions that were created, enjoyed, and then closed permanently and often re-purposed. These attractions not only bring back vivid memories, but they also evoke strong emotional responses. Sometimes those emotions restrict Disney Guests from enjoying their more contemporary incarnations. WDW Parkhoppers wants to honor and pay tribute to the attractions of yesteryear, while at the same time, honoring the attractions of today.
