The 31st Annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Special
This holiday season, Disney will put a “Frozen” twist on its 31st annual Christmas Day telecast, appropriately renamed the “Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration” airing Dec. 25, 2014 on ABC-TV. Robin Roberts of ABC’s “Good Morning America” will host the reimagined television special inspired by the blockbuster hit’s message of uniting family and loved ones. Roberts will lead the telecast from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida with support from GMA Contributor and ESPN and SEC Network analyst Tim Tebow. Turner Lands Rights To Upcoming Disney Movies
Turner Broadcasting has bought the network television premiere rights to Walt Disney Studios’ yet-to-be-released films “Cinderella” and “The Jungle Book,” which Deadline.com notes shows the cable company continuing its “blockbuster movie acquisition deals.” The films “will be available to networks across Turner Broadcasting’s portfolio, including TBS, TNT and Cartoon Network, a little over two years after each film’s theatrical release,” the story notes. LeBron James Partners With ESPN On A New Disney TV Show, ‘Becoming,’ Debuting Oct. 26
CLEVELAND — LeBron James’ production company is working with ESPN Films on “Becoming,” a Disney TV show for children, and the first episode will feature James. The partnership between Springhill Productions, James’ company operated by long-time friend and business associate Maverick Carter, and ESPN was announced Wednesday. “Becoming” will feature star athletes and portray their childhoods — beginning with James’ upbringing in Akron.
