Walt Disney World Traditions

Pluto Walt Disney World Resort Sarah McGovern WDW ParkhoppersEveryone has a tradition.  Summers at the beach, turkey on Thanksgiving, dare I say brushing your teeth in the morning.  But my favorite traditions are those that live at Walt Disney World.  I have been visiting the World for over 25 years and there are a few things that have become a staple on every trip.

Sarah McGovern Tigger Walt Disney World ResortWhen I was a kid, my love for character breakfasts began.  Mickey waffles and Disney characters.  What an amazing experience to start your day!  One of my favorite places was on the Empress Lily at he Disney Village Marketplace.  The huge riverboat (now Fulton’s Crab House) was such a uniquely Disney location.  It’s my first real memory of Walt Disney World and they have always held a fond place in my heart.  Since I was 5 years old, I have tried to have one character breakfast during every trip.

We rode the attraction numerous times throughout that trip, but this initial ride to the Twilight Zone left a lasting impression on us and a new tradition was born.  Every trip since then, Tower of Terror MUST be the first thing we do when we arrive and the last thing we do before we leave.
