Hollywood Records And Marvel Set To Release Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Deluxe Soundtrack
Hollywood Records and Marvel are set to release three albums from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy on July 29, 2014. The Guardians of the Galaxy Deluxe soundtrack features classic 1970s songs from the film, plus score by composer Tyler Bates (“Watchmen,” “Slither,” “Dawn of the Dead”). Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix Vol. 1 is the collection of 12 songs including Blue Swede’s “Hooked on a Feeling,” “I’m Not in Love” by 10cc, Redbone’s “Come and Get Your Love,” and The Runaways’ “Cherry Bomb,” and Guardians of the Galaxy is the digital score soundtrack. Marvel Eyes Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch for ‘Doctor Strange’
Now that Marvel Studios has hired director Scott Derrickson to take the helm on Doctor Strange, the focus is shifting to casting a leading man, with Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch reportedly in contention for the title role. The character was mentioned by name in Marvel’s Phase Two sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier earlier this year, with the project already confirmed to be a part of Phase Three, although it isn’t known when Marvel plans on releasing the movie. ‘Ant-Man’: Peyton Reed To Direct, Adam McKay To Rewrite After Edgar Wright Departure
Two weeks after director and co-writer Edgar Wright dropped out of Ant-Man over creative clashes with the studio, a new filmmaker has been hired to keep the July 2015 movie on track. Peyton Reed (The Break-Up, Bring It On) will take over the action-adventure about a hero who can shrink to tiny sizes while still packing a massive punch. Adam McKay, the director best known for the Anchorman movies, was among those rumored to be taking the helm of Ant-Man, but the studio revealed today he will instead rewrite the script by Wright and Joe Cornish (Attack the Block.) Mark Ruffalo Says ‘Avengers 2’ Hulk is ‘More Complex’
One of the best things about Joss Whedon’s first Avengers movie for Marvel was Mark Ruffalo’s first appearance as Bruce Banner, the alter ego for the incredible Hulk. That fact, it seems, hasn’t gone unnoticed when it comes to next year’s sequel.
