Watch Mickey Mouse’s Brand-New Cartoon Short ‘Croissant de Triomphe’ Online
Mickey got his start in short cartoons — and now he’s going back to his roots in a new short-form series of 19 comedy cartoons, titled “Mickey Mouse.” Lucky Insiders can check out a special preview of Mickey’s new adventures exclusively on Disney.com — watch the full “Croissant de Triomphe”online! The full series will start rolling out Friday, June 28, on Disney Channel, Disney.com and WATCH Disney Channel, among other platforms.
Each cartoon in the series finds Mickey in a different contemporary setting (Santa Monica, New York, Beijing, Tokyo, and more), exploring and experiencing life with his long-time pals Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto. For instance, in “Croissant de Triomphe,” Mickey must deliver croissants to Minnie’s cafe, battling street traffic and other Parisian obstacles along the way.
The “Mickey Mouse” series is geared toward kids age 6-14 and families, and produced in 2D animation just like the classic Mickey cartoons of old. The design esthetic borrows reverentially from the bold style of Mickey’s 1930s design, but adds a few contemporary touches. Keep an eye peeled for homages to Disney icons — you never know what you’ll spot!
