Pony Rides at Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Fort Wilderness Campground and Resort
One of the things I love about the Walt Disney World Resort is that there are activities outside the park that do not require park admission. With a surprise in mind, we recently visited Tri-Circle D Ranch at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. We started the day at the Magic Kingdom, but we didn’t have to hike back to the parking lot to drive anywhere, we took a relaxing boat launch from the seven seas lagoon onto Bay Lake, past the Contemporary Resort and docked at the campgrounds! Disney Parks Blog released this vintage Walt Disney World map including the Magic Kingdom but also golf courses, beaches, watercraft, monorail transportation, Bay Lake and its eventual Discovery Island, Fort Wilderness and Tri-Circle-D Ranch , STOLport, the Polynesian and Contemporary Resorts.

I have been a Disney traditionalist my whole life. I love the classic Disney cartoon shorts and feature animations. We all know that Walt loved progress and technology, and was frustrated many times because his ideas were beyond the tech science of the day. But as advanced as CG gets, which allows animated toons and movies to jump from the screen, almost as real-live characters, nothing can replace the simple, yet elegant cartoons of the early era. Rubber hose technique, antiquated and dated by today’s standards, makes a Mickey Mouse short what it should be, a classic! The same goes for the attractions at the parks. Everyone wants…
