It’s been quite a long spell since my last article, the Holiday season of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas has taken their toll of my time, and the Honey-Do list is larger than the national debt, but its good to be back at my desk. Ever since this area of Walt Disney World opened on March 22nd, 1975 and given the moniker “Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village”, it has continued to evolve and be re-imagined perhaps as much if not more than any of Disney’s other four theme parks. It was originally visualized as a shopping mall. In a few days, Halloween will be here, then Thanksgiving and finally the big one, Christmas. But the year 2020 for most of America, is a year we can’t wait for passing. The Covid crisis and its ramifications will linger on for who knows how long. For many, this time of the year has lost its luster. And for millions of Disney fans and lovers, it was a disaster. For the first time in 17 years, I let my annual pass lapse.
