ABC Adding ‘Agent Carter’ Next Fall
Despite falling ratings and critical ambivalence towards Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., ABC is doubling down on Marvel properties for fall 2014. Not only is the network giving S.H.I.E.L.D. get a second season, but it’s also adding a second Marvel series, the much-anticipated Agent Carter, to its slate. What the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., announced yesterday along with the Carter series, will look like remains unclear. ESPN Becomes Official Broadcaster of Special Olympics World Games Los Angeles 2015
ESPN is gearing up to support the Special Olympics in Los Angeles next year, and just last week the network, along with the 2015 Special Olympics World Games Organizing Committee, announced that it’ll be the official broadcaster of the world’s largest sports and humanitarian event. ESPN will cover the World Games in English and Spanish via its networks and platforms in the U.S., Mexico, Spanish-speaking Latin America, the Caribbean, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East and Africa when the event kicks off on July 25, 2015. Epcot: Disney Announces 2014 Eat to the Beat Acts
Disney World has revealed the list of performers set for this year’s Eat to the Beat concert series, which is part of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Singers generally perform three times per day at the theme park’s America Gardens Theater. The concerts are included in regular Epcot admission. New to the gig this year are Jo Dee Messina, Fuel and Los Lonely Boys, Disney says.
