Random Joy from Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park

I don’t know it it’s because we have now been to WDW a number of times, I’m getting older or just more in tune to my surroundings but every so often I see something else that I hadn’t seen before that just gives me Random Joy. When my niece, Wendy-Lin, worked at WDW during and after her WDW College Program she had told me of this sighting!

Sometimes in the brush, bushes, landscape along the path from Africa to Asia you just might spot something a bit out of the ordinary. I actually was not paying much attention to my surroundings that day, but lucky for me, Eric, one of our ‘Cast Member’ friends was with us and mentioned there may be something I was missing. Not knowing this location all that well and having not recalled what my niece had told me .. from the corner of my eye was movement! A bit startled at first, then I SAW her! Oh the beauty before me. Like I said, I had ‘heard’ about her, but seeing her was a thrill… slight movements at first, just enough to grab your attention.

Then she was on the move – coming to life out of the terrain – a lovely, very tall, graceful plant like creature – Oh My Stars ! It was Miss DeVine herself!

Should you be on the way from Africa to Asia or back, take some time to actually enjoy the beauty that has been created for you – take it ALL in, you just never know – you too may see a plant Magically come to life.
