The Avengers 2: Ultron Design and Origins Officially Revealed
Long-time Marvel Comics readers will be delighted to see the faithful adaptation of Ultron’s design, but keep in mind that actor James Spader (The Blacklist) is performing motion capture and face capture for his role. He’s not just the voice of Ultron so either that robotic face depicted above opens up to reveal something akin to Spader’s real look or Ultron, in his efforts to become stronger, continuously upgrades himself/evolves and we get a slightly more humanoid version later. Mark Ruffalo Says ‘Avengers 2’ Hulk is ‘More Complex’
One of the best things about Joss Whedon’s first Avengers movie for Marvel was Mark Ruffalo’s first appearance as Bruce Banner, the alter ego for the incredible Hulk. That fact, it seems, hasn’t gone unnoticed when it comes to next year’s sequel. Disney XD Japan Showcases ‘Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers’ Anime Series
While TV Tokyo has been showing the Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers since it debuted on April 2nd, Disney XD Japan is getting in on the game now as well since it’s broadcasting on the network on Sunday mornings at 9am. The channel is making a new push for the show in promoting it as part of their growing boys lineup. Produced by Toei Animation, the series is a change of pace for Marvel properties in Japan that have largely been done by Madhouse, who was working on the just released Avengers Confidential special. Disney Meets With Marvel About Potential Spin-Off Solo Films
Everyone wants a spin-off. That’s the talk du jour. It’s not enough to just have a franchise, you need solo films to keep that franchise going and going. It’s the new black: release a movie every other year while the main mothership has its flagship super-movie every two or three years, right? Fox hopes to do the same with the “X-Men: Days Of Future Past”series and Mystique (a mooted spin-off while the super-hero team carries on every other few years).
