Disney Theme Park Executive Moves To Dedicated Star Wars Unit
Slashfilm’s Peter Sciretta reports that Scott Trowbridge, a top executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, has been put on “a new dedicated project studio solely dedicated on creating theme park attractions and experiences based on the Star Wars franchise.”Trowbridge, who serves as vice president for creative at Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development, joined Disney in 2007 after serving as the senior show producer of Universal Studios’ “The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man” ride.Sciretta adds that “Scott will also take on the role of portfolio leader at Disneyland Resort, which might indicate development of Star Wars attractions in the domestic theme parks Disneyland and Disney World resort.”

All in the Details: Construction Walls Come Down at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train achieved another milestone overnight last night, when Walt Disney Imagineering removed the final construction walls from around the attraction. These are the first photos shown that offer a look at what the entrance will look like, including both the Standby and FastPass entrances. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is scheduled to open later this spring. Stay tuned for more news and updates on the attraction.

Radio Disney Music Awards Return to Turn Up the Fun
Radio Disney has had quite a busy two years. And not just because of its relentless dedication to broadcasting trendy and current programming, along with the hottest music, for kids and families on the air waves. Last year, the team launched the Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMAs), the prime awards show for kids’ and families’ favorite music. The show is making a return this Saturday, April 26, and some of the biggest names in kids’ entertainment will gather at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE to take part in the one-of-a-kind program. ‘Feel the Force Dining Event’ Offers More Fun for Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
During Star Wars Weekends, fans will be immersed in a galaxy far, far away. And now, a special Feel the Force Dining Event gives you VIP status for viewing for the Star Wars “Legends of the Force” motorcade plus a nightly dessert party (featuring the event’s popular Darth Vader cupcakes) and up-close viewing of the “Symphony in the Stars” fireworks spectacular. The Legends of the Force: Star Wars Celebrity Motorcade viewing experience is at 11 a.m.-noon each day. Soft drinks, water and a snack will be provided.
