Disney to Begin Production On Teen Beach Movie 2
— Ross Lynch, Maia Mitchell, Grace Phipps, Garrett Clayton and John DeLuca to Reprise Starring Roles — Disney Channel will begin production in July on “Teen Beach Movie 2,” the sequel to last summer’s “Teen Beach Movie,” a Disney Channel Original Movie that ranks as cable TV’s all-time #2 movie in Total Viewers. Ross Lynch (“Austin & Ally” and Hollywood Records’ R5), Maia Mitchell (“The Fosters”), Grace Phipps (“Baby Daddy”), Garrett Clayton (“The Fosters”) and John DeLuca (“Twisted”) will reprise their starring roles as Brady, McKenzie, Lela, Tanner and Butchy, respectively. The first short in which Mickey Mouse and Pluto appeared together was The Chain Gang (1930)—it was Pluto’s first—and second—appearance. The Chain Gang featured two identical and unnamed Plutos who, unlike Mickey’s friendly pup that we all know and love, are relentless bloodhounds. Pluto’s second outing in The Picnic (1930) was a little more indicative of his future career. In this short, his name was Rover, and he was very definitely Minnie’s dog rather than Mickey’s. Six months later that all changed, however, and one of the most famous friendships in cinematic history was forged. Disney Named World’s Most Reputable Company
Forbes recently reported that The Walt Disney Company ranked in the top spot of the World’s Most Reputable Companies—an annual list that is constructed by world-renowned private consulting firm Reputation Institute. Out of 130 companies evaluated, Disney and Google shared the No. 1 position this year. The results were based on an online survey—conducted earlier this year—that interviewed more than 55,000 consumers across the 15 largest markets around the globe in order to measure the corporate reputation of some of the world’s most visible companies.
