Disney Channel Is Tops Among Kids For The Third Straight Year
Disney Channel, boosted by a pair of original movies and popular new comedy series “Girl Meets World,” has emerged as television’s most popular total-day network among kids — as well as cable’s most popular overall — for a third straight summer. According to Nielsen estimates, “Girl Meets World” and “Sofia the First” stood as TV’s top two series among kids 2-11 (both with 2.1 million in the age group), and Disney Channel had the summer’s six highest-rated telecasts in the demo. Disney Channel will launch a vibrant new channel logo and overall on-air graphics design on FRIDAY, MAY 23 in the U.S. and on each of the other 42 Disney Channels worldwide this year.
