The Disney CEO tossed in the possibility of new direct-to-consumer offerings in response to a question, in a call with analysts, about the company’s involvement with Dish Network’s new Sling TV streaming service. The big tease of what Disney has planned for “Star Wars” inside its theme parks continues 11 months before “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” flies into theaters. Disney To Push Back Shanghai Theme Park Opening To 2016
CEO Iger expected to explain why in the company’s fourth-quarter earnings call later Tuesday. Walt Disney Co DIS 1.29% is to put off the opening of its Disneyland Shanghai theme park to next year, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing people close to the project. The WSJ said chief executive Bob Iger is likely to give new guidance about the timetable for opening the park during a conference call Tuesday to discuss the group’s fourth-quarter earnings. The 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music’s biggest event for families, is set for SATURDAY, APRIL 25 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. Now in its third year, the show will feature performances by some of the biggest artists in music and the presentation of the uniquely Radio Disney “ARDY” statuettes as voted on by fans globally.
