Disney Studios has released a new one sheet and teaser trailer for their upcoming live-action version of Cinderella, set to release in March of 20125. The story of “Cinderella” follows the fortunes of young Ella (Lily James) whose merchant father remarries following the death of her mother. Eager to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and her daughters Anastasia (Holliday Grainger) and Drisella (Sophie McShera) into the family home. Disney’s Live-Action Beauty And The Beast Will Make A Major Change To The Animated Film
Among Disney’s slate of live-action remakes of their classic animated movies is Beauty and the Beast. Unlike Maleficent and Cinderella before it, the film will follow in the footsteps of its animated counterpart by being a musical. However, as with any adaptation, there are bound to be changes from the “original” story, and in this case, moviegoers should expect to hear some extra songs added to the lineup of music. Live Action Winnie The Pooh Movie In The Works From Disney
Disney is continuing their series of live action adaptations of their own animated features with a new live action Winnie the Pooh movie. Disney has reportedly hired Listen Up Philip director Alex Ross Perry to helm the project, which will focus on an adult Christopher Robin revisiting the Hundred Acre Woods and it’s denizens. Tim Burton To Direct Live-Action ‘Dumbo’ For Disney
Disney is betting that the man to make you believe an elephant can fly is Tim Burton. The filmmaker behind “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure,” “Batman,” “Big Eyes” and “Alice in Wonderland” will direct Disney’s coming live-action remake of “Dumbo,” Walt Disney Pictures president of production Sean Bailey said. “Dumbo,” which is still in development and doesn’t have a release date, is one of a number of new films based on Disney animated classics that the studio has in the works, including this week’s “Cinderella,” next year’s “The Jungle Book” and “Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass,” and a new “Beauty and the Beast” expected in 2017.
