    Walt Disney’s “Enchanted Tiki Room”…

A few articles ago, I talked about the exciting new offerings awaiting guests at Walt Disney World in the coming months. The new technology and storylines are “magical” to say the least, but as Walt once quipped…” I hope we don’t lose sight of one thing, it was all started by a mouse” Walt hated sequels, never one to rest on his laurels, he demanded new and fresh entertainment for his quests. But sometimes, in order to understand how unlimited, the future is for Walt Disney World, we must explore and understand its past. Too many guests gloss over the classic rides and attractions for the latest and greatest,…

The History of Disney’s Fast Pass-Should it remain free?…

It’s been quite a long spell since my last article, the Holiday season of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas has taken their toll of my time, and the Honey-Do list is larger than the national debt, but its good to be back at my desk. However, this is the first time in my over 17 years of covering Disney that I totally disagree with my beloved Walt Disney Company. Over the years, I was not happy with some decisions, i.e. the loss of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Magic Kingdom’s Skyway, and I did enjoy Body wars in EPCOT, but I knew Disney needed to keep things fresh and new for…

    Walt Disney’s “Nine Old Men”…

Walt Disney, as all of us know was a brilliant showman, storyteller and animator. You might even say he was clairvoyant, for he seemed to know what would work and become successful, despite all odds to the contrary. But for many, the animator part was not quite true. Walt once famously quoted…  “You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality.” No one knew this more than Walt.                                                                                      Although he studied the infant art form of animation, experimented and knew what he wanted, as an artist and draftsman, he was pedestrian at…

    Roy O. Disney, Walt’s best Friend…

I must admit, I’m a bit behind my time with this article. The last few months have been, to say the least hectic. With my daughters’ wedding now past, my wife finally got called back to work and I just finished up three major projects, it’s now time for my favorite pastime, writing about Disney. But with this Covid and Flu season, my favorite place in the world, Walt Disney World, is almost unrecognizable! No fireworks, no parades, no meet and greets, no shows, half my favorite eaters not yet opened, limited character encounters, etc. No annual passholder tickets being offered, and now you have to make a reservation…
